30 Day Success Challenge

Its a new year, new decade, a new you and me if we choose to look at it this way. There’s always something exciting about a new year. It seems like we can just start over and you know what we can.

I’m sure all of us have a little regret at maybe starting something and not finishing it, or wishing we had done more but for some reason we let other things get in the way.

My personal goal is my 30 day Challenge to make things better and I would like to share it with you.

30 Day Success Challenge

1. Read from a positive up lifting and self empowerment book for 15 minutes a day. Began to build your Success Library. Some of my favorite authors:

a. Jim Rohn: The Five Major Pieces To The Life Puzzle
b. Brian Tracy
c. Les Brown
d. Denise Waitley
e. Napoleon Hill, Think and Grow Rich
f. Earl Nightingale, The Strangest Secret
g. Anthony Robins
h. Og Mandino

These are just a few of mine and of course there are so many more just waiting to be read.

2. Reduce your TV intake (the electronic income reducer), especially the news etc.

3. Turn off the radio and put in a leaning CD. An uplifting, self empowerment tape, CD, MP3 or class room material that you can learn from and turn your drive time into a learning university.

4. Remove your newspaper and don’t read it for 30 days or at least reduce the amount of time reading it. Reduce the negative input the distractions just as you did with the TV. I know this might be hard for some who enjoy the paper but lets just try it and see what happens.

5. Associate with people that help to empower you and reduce/limit your association with others that don’t share your dreams and tend to dim the light instead of brighten it.

6. Drink plenty of water to keep yourself hydrated. One of the reasons many people feel sluggish is dehydration. Drinking plenty of water each day helps keep us at our best; it is, the elixir of life.

7. Exercise at least 30 minutes a day. It’s important to exercise the body as well as the mind. Taking time to improve your health each day will provide many benefits such as more energy, a leaner body ect.

8. Reflect, spend 20-30 minutes a day to reflect on the things you’ve done, the things you want to accomplish, and prepare for the things you want to do and accomplish tomorrow. You can meditate, pray or just sit in silence thinking and reflecting on what you are grateful for, how you would like to see yourself as a person and what you want to be know for in your life, your business, your niche etc. Then write down the things you want to accomplish tomorrow.

9. Take action, by setting aside time to accomplish something towards your goal everyday, even if it just a few minutes. The real challenge here is the behavior, like Nike says, “Just Do It”.  By doing something everyday you’ll begin building a habit of successful behavior. Jim Rohn says it best in the book I recommended:

Your Philosophy determines your Attitude, which in turn determines your Behavior, which then determines your Actions, which then determines your Life Style.

To Your Success in 2010
